San Damiano            

    St. Francis was deep in prayer before the San Damiano Cross when he heard God speak the words, "Francis rebuild my Church!”  St. Francis thought God was talking about the church of St. Damian which was in ruins.  It wasn’t until a little later on that Francis realized that by the word ‘Church,’ God was talking about the people of the Church, not the building.  

    The San Damiano Group is a group specifically for young people and exists so that they may grow to rebuild God’s Church today.  We are dedicated, with a Franciscan spirit, to fostering an environment that not only accepts faith filled young Catholics, but encourages them to daily spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.  

    Through our many ministries and activities, young adults can worship our Lord greater by surrounding themselves with like-minded individuals and praying with a deeper sense of community.  Our group provides many opportunities to be involved through retreats, weekly youth masses, a music ministry, pro-life activities, and fellowship.  

    We are open to any young person 13 or older who wishes to seek a deeper relationship with God by participating in the activities of our group.  There are no time requirements, dues, or hoops to jump through to be a member of the group.  We encourage those seeking this relationship with God to join our community of Catholic teens as we help each other to grow in faith.
